Aims - to introduce the fundamentals and help attendees understand how managing grazing can help deliver business aims & objectives.
  
This course will help you identify where your business is now, where you want it to be and what the new system might look like. 
    
The key topics that we will cover include:
  
 - Principles of pasture growth, energy storage & rest
  
 - Introduction to livestock nutrition for production
  
 - Understanding pasture supply and demand
  
 - Pasture quality - seasonal changes, plant differences
  
 - Reducing reliance on external inputs
  
 - Infrastructure - fencing and watering
    
Attendees will need to complete a quick and simple KPI and questionnaire on their current system before attending.
    
This foundation course is suitable for farm staff who may not have full financial management responsibility but have day-to-day operational responsibility.
